2nd Profile- After reviewing the first part of the assignment I was not convinced about my self-projected personality. However, I was delightfully surprised to learn that my hypothetical personality of an ISTJ was not a match when I took the personality test. The personality test rated me as an ENFJ, which matches the description for an Idealist teacher. I believe that this test has captured my personal outlook better than the first assignment. I have always been compassionate, and responsible. As anyone who has read my philosophies on teaching knows that, I demand more than the average teacher does. Not in the sense of a heavy workload, but in the way that I make my students learn. Furthermore, I am determined to do my best to reach every student that I can, already this year I have gained the respect of two BD students and have made significant progress in the classroom with them.
I agree that people are most of the time my first priority, and I have to stay involved during work. I actually believe that this job has played to my strengths and is the best fit for me personally. The personality test results proved that for me. I do plan everything out ahead of time and I am an easy going person with thick skin. I like this assessment of my character and I feel that taking the test is definitely a positive experience. Nevertheless, I have to admit that I am not sure what this relates to in respects to teaching. Self-realization is important to personal growth and understanding how to use your attributes more effectively, but as a professional you should already be confident in your ability to adapt to situations. I guess what I am trying to say is that if you do not possess the ability to understand how to better help yourself, than how are you going to be able to understand how to help others? The two web sites below will allow you to test your character and tell you what the results mean, have fun and thank you for your time.
