Jing Image

I thought that the Jing website was very advantageous in many ways. It utilizes simple technologies to help ease the complicated processes of communicating demonstrations. The presentation video was straightforward and self-explanatory. The tool that I found to be the most rewarding was the share links button. I thought that Jing did a superb job of simplifying that whole process. I have to say that so far I am pleasantly delighted with the systems that we have explored up to this point. Another aspect is that I wish I learned these tools years ago it would have made my experiences with technology less despondent. My demonstration was intentionally uncomplicated and clear-cut; it simply shows users how to log on to Ebscohost through the FSU library.

Snipping

Wow I am always worried when I have to learn something new on the computer. However, I must admit that this tool is awesome and very easy to use. As you can see above I have no problem adding snips to my blog page. For those of you that are wondering where the teaching aspect of this blog is relax we are getting there. The example above is to show everyone that looks at my page that if I can use it so can you.

Picasso

The Picasso head design was a fun assignment to do. It took me a while to decide of which hair to use because I keep mine so short. I liked the fact that all of the tools were easy to use and readily available. Anybody reading this should click the link below and try it out. To anyone that was having problems loading the picture the snipping tool works great.

Diigo Instructional Blog

Well my experiences are not very good when it comes to technology. This is the first time that I am actually using a browser add on, so far I think that it will be helpful. Diigo has some cool features, but I am still trying to figure them all out. I am also having a difficult time trying to add items to the page. The highlighting and sticky notes are awesome, but all of this is new to me so it is going to take a little time to figure out. The ISTE/Nets T that I believe that fits this activity the best is the second standard. The main reason being is that it allows the students to engage in skill building activities while exploring with the new technologies.

Introduction

Hello, everyone my name is Nile Bee and this is my second year in the MAT program. I have already earned my History degree and hope to finish my B.S. in Sociology this summer. Just to let you know it may take me a day or two to respond to any email. I try to check blackboard everyday however; I work two jobs and am a father of two wonderful boys. Therefore, my schedule does not always allow me to view blackboard. If you have a question or need to get in touch with me, my personal email is Nilebee@gmail.com and it comes directly to my phone. I hope everyone has a great semester thank you for your time.

Created Blog

Well I have successfully created my blog. I can honestly say that I am going to have  my hands full with this class. I am not a fan of technology however, I do understand its importance in the classroom. I have a lot to learn, here's hoping.
